Wi-Fi Monitor

Who it is for: IT or facilities teams who want to see the air around the appliance on-site, without joining any network.

Who it is not for: Anyone who wants to sniff, capture passwords, block neighbors, or replace the WLAN controller.

What it does

The radio is the appliance radio. One click runs an RF survey. Nearby SSIDs appear. You mark yours: they become MONITORING. Everything else stays neighborhood — visible, not yours. No join, no password, no packet capture.

What it is for in the company

For anyone who needs to see what is in the air in an office or warehouse: open networks, names that look like yours, IoT that announces itself. Three steps: mark your SSIDs, run OBSERVE, read findings in the console.

What it does not do

It does not join networks. It does not ask for or store PSKs. It does not capture packets. It does not block or enforce. It is not traffic on the Wi-Fi the box is already associated with: that is the Wi-Fi traffic (owned) card.

Where alerts and reports go

They stay in the SI console, on the Wi-Fi page. No automatic email, SMS or Slack. If SI is down, Detector keeps running (fail-open).
