Who it is for: Anyone who must connect Detector (or an observed server) to SI and see if that link is healthy.
Who it is not for: Anyone who expects SI to write to or block the remote system.
What it does
Read-only link to the platform you already have. Shows health and readiness. Platforms is the path to Detector: SI observes, it does not take the wheel.
What it is for in the company
Before Inventory and Reporting, this must be AVAILABLE or the other pages stay empty. Confirm the link, read status.
What it does not do
It does not change Detector. It does not enable modules by itself. It does not enforce. It is not a cloud proxy.
Where alerts and reports go
Link status stays on Platforms and Overview. Observed findings appear on the function that owns them, still in the SI console.
